Community in Detroit

I'm involved in a denominational research project about starting a community within Detroit. Are there already any communities or individuals working in the city of Detroit? Any tips or advice about the community start up process? Anyone interested?

I'm looking for any advice more experienced radicals can give!

That's great, sagely. I'm from (the suburbs of) Detroit and of course it has a special place in my heart. I live in Sacramento now, but I'd love to hear about your plans as they continue to develop. I'm hoping to move back to Michigan in a few years, and I'm interested in starting an intentional community somewhere there - possibly Detroit, Ann Arbor, or near the Saugatuck/Grand Haven area, as my husband and I have connections and roots in all those places. Hi, Sagely! I don't know of any communities withing Detroit, but I live in Berkley with my husband and teenage daughter and I would be interested in learining what you have learned so far about being a radical for Jesus. ><>
